An Artist's Guide to Cleveland: Coffee Roasters

Cleveland Coffee Roasters

I am admittedly a coffee snob, but you don’t need to be to enjoy this guide to coffee roasters in Cleveland. All you need is a love of caffeine. And, coffee is fuel for parents! But if you are a coffee snob, these roasters should be a treat.

Coffee to Stay, Beans to Go

Shopping local roasters is a great way to support the community, and I hope this little guide makes it fun to up your coffee game. Maybe this list will have your new favorite, and get you out and exploring a new Cleveland neighborhood. Or, if you’re like me, you’ll want to peruse the list and make sure you’ve tried them all. Each of the coffee roasters listed here has one or more cafe location(s), so you can try their coffee in shop and bring home beans for brewing at home.

Here are some of my favorite spots for quality and flavor. They each have a thoughtful approach, and share details about how they source their beans, all locally roasted right here in town.

Duck Rabbit

Ohio City

Duck Rabbit’s cool minimalist space feels like a mini-vacation to a trendy destination. Their white walls give the rotating art display a true gallery feeling.

Troubadour

Fairview Park

From the outside, it looks like an unassuming suburban building, but inside it’s cozy like the set of Friends, with soft couches mixed with tables and an interesting collection of coffee paraphernalia.

Rising Star

Ohio City, Tremont, Lakewood, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, Downtown

The Tremont location is especially gorgeous, but you can’t go wrong with the Ohio City spot tucked into an historic firehouse, or any of the other locations. They all have a warm, modern aesthetic.

Six Shooter

Waterloo, Old Brooklyn

You’ll find a colorful atmosphere adorned with playful details and an artistic aesthetic at Six Shooter.

Phoenix

Ohio City, Lakewood, Cleveland Heights, Downtown

Ultra coziness factor with modern style awaits - you can’t help but feel Phoenix’s easy-going personality in their cafes.

Ready Set

Gordon Square

The Ready Set cafe combines a renovated historic building with bright seating areas and a view straight into where the coffee roasting magic happens, built-in entertainment.

What do you think?

If you give these a try, I'd love to know your favorite! Please feel free to get in touch to say hello.
